Confirmation is a Sacrament of Initiation that deepens your faith life and allows you to see how the Holy Spirit is working in your life. It enlivens and deepens the gifts of the Holy Spirit which we received at our Baptism. Confirmation Preparation for high school students is a two year process. Candidates must fill our a registration form each year they are a part of the program. Sessions run each year from September to May. Confirmation Mass is held in the spring of the candidates second year of preparation. Sessions are held on the first, third, and fifth Wednesdays of the month from 6:00-8:00pm in the rooms of the Church. Please see the Confirmation Calendar for specific dates. For more information, contact the Office of Faith Formation at: 714-842-3000 ext. 114 or send an email to:
Dear Confirmation 2 Families:
I am so pleased to share our good news that the Confirmation Mass is scheduled for the end of August. I want to thank you for patiently waiting to have your child celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. Father Jerome recently received permission from Bishop Kevin Vann to schedule Masses. The masses will be outside in the Church courtyard at the end of August.
Each family will be able to bring one (1) Sponsor/Godparent and only (2) parents or guardians. Due to state mandate guidelines and for the safety of everyone, we need to have a limited number of people. If you have more than one child receiving sacraments you will sit as a family.
Please let us know which Mass times you prefer by clicking here. You may also call the Faith Formation Office at (714) 842-3000 x114. Priority will be given to the candidates who have submitted all required paperwork and saint name.
To streamline the process, here is a checklist of what to do before the big day…
Checklist for things to do:
Paperwork & Saint Name – Copies of Baptismal and First Communion Certificates, plus a completed Sponsor form, should be on file. Click here for Sponsor Form. A Saint Name should be selected by the candidate and on file. Our staff will be in contact with you if we still need any documents or information. The final deadline to submit paperwork is Monday, August 10.
